My Town Friday Shoot Out: Outdoor Food

This post is part of the My Town Friday Shoot Out, a gang of photographers in varying degrees of excellence who all participate in a weekly themed shoot. It's open to anyone! Feel free to join us!! This week's theme of outdoor food was chosen by "Girlichef".

Last weekend, lucky for me, was my husband's family's family reunion. That means we eat outside. There are just too many of us to try to be inside. I was hoping to get some good ol' American Carnival Foods, but I hope someone else did for me to enjoy.

Grillin' it up!

My youngest, scoping out the veggies. He LOVES veggies.

Finger food!

Yum...I love our family's salad options.

And you can't miss out on dessert!!

Next week's theme is "power". Now that should bring some interesting photos.

Those flame broiled burgers must have been soooo good! Neat shot with the fire.

I wouldn't have a single pic of my boy and veggies together. Lucky you. My son just doesn't know what he is missing!

these are fabulous food shots. I like the one with your son eyeing the veggies. And the dessert.....OMG they look so delicious. I too, was wondering what the vanilla wafer things are. They look fabulous. Maybe you should post a recipe. YUM!

If a bald guy shows up at one of your family reunions, just act like you know him as long lost cousin, Gordon. I'll be the one with the most food on my plate. You guys know how to party. Hey, I think I am your cousin! When's the next reunion?

Re: the vanilla wafer things...I didn't make them. They are a cream cheese type pudding with chocolate chips in them and then topped with almond slices.

...and you're ALL welcome at the family reunion. Maybe someday we'll have a "Shoot Out Family" get together.

what are those little cookies with the almond slices? your little one is beautiful - course don't tell him he is old enough to be insulted by being called beautiful. the first picture with the fire is really nice.

Elissa, thanks for the kind words about the Alaska adventure. If you would like to browse adventure shots drop by my other blog "Forever Fishing Friends".
Just google the name with the spaces between words and it will be the first thing to pop up. I forget the blogspot name I gave it. Let me know what you think. Send me your fishing pictures and I'll put them on there. We are friends now.
